disc displacement, is a commonly seen disease among adults, as well as children. It interacts with facial deformities and occlusion etiologically and pathologically, and the treatment often involves adjustment of occlusion as well. The aim of this article is to review relevant references and to introduce our combined methods of disc repositioning, occlusal therapy, orthodontics, and sometimes orthognathics, as the new Joint-Jaw-Occlusion (JJO) protocol, supported by sample case illustrations before the intervention and at follow-up. We analyze short- and long-term results of implementation JJO protocol in patients with various types of TMJ internal derangements and temporomandibular disc displacement. In our experience, the proposed protocol is a highly effective procedure, both functionally and cosmetically, and can help to avoid osteotomies.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Внутренние нарушения, или вывих диска, височно-нижнечелюстного сустава (ВНЧС) – частая патология взрослого и детского возраста. Она этиологически и патогенетически связана с деформациями лица и прикусом, а ее лечение часто включает коррекцию прикуса. В данной статье представлены обзор литературы и собственные комбинированные методы репозиции диска, исправления прикуса, ортодонтических и в ряде случаев ортогнатических вмешательств – так называемый новый протокол «сустав – нижняя челюсть – окклюзия» (Joint-Jaw-Occlusion – JJO) в виде иллюстративного материала. Дан анализ ближайших и отдаленных результатов внедрения протокола JJO у больных с различными типами внутренних нарушений ВНЧС и смещения диска.
